Couches BBQ

Ask anyone who grew up in the area and they will tell you about there first time visiting Couches. Their first restaurant was down the road just a little ways for their present location. That is were I ate as a kid. I love their barbecue plate with barbecue, slaw, french fires, baked beans and rolls. They have the sliced barbecue rather than the pulled and I like it much better. So for me, this defines what barbecue is supposed to be BUT it different from every other style of barbecue out there. It’s very tasty. Let me put it this way… I’m a vegetarian and I always get a pork barbecue sandwich when I come here, with hot slaw. Make sure that you add plenty of the barbecuesauce that they have sitting on the table. The baked beans and coleslaw are also yummy. A couple of years ago they renovated but managed to keep the old school charm. I love this place. (Google Reviews)

You’ll feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The menu is fabulous. Huge variety. Pizza, salads, deli sandwiches, soups, and desserts. Please go check it out for lunch, but expect to wait. This is not a fast food restuarant and everything is made fresh. Your wait will probably be around 10 minutes or so. Totally worth it! Kudo’s to the owners.
