I’ve been to Kumo more times than I can count, and I’ve been to many other restaurants of this type — at Kumo, you will definitely be served the best sushi in town at a very reasonable price. The sushi is always phenomenal. I consistently order the spicy salmon roll, the crunchy roll (amazing!), the spicy whitefish with shiso roll, the eel and avocado roll, the clueless roll, spicy tuna roll, and avocado roll (not all at the same time, mind you). These are my standbys — I always order at least one or two of these rolls, and they are always flavorful, fresh, and amazing. Their spicy mayo is delicious! Even at their busiest, we have never had to wait for our food longer than one would expect.

The service is relatively consistent. The sushi chefs (probably not the right term) always say hello and greet you as you walk past, and the majority of the waitstaff is prompt and polite (with the exception of this one surly girl– you’ll know who I’m talking about once you see her). The guy working the counter is so nice! He has brought warm sake over to my table three times, just because I’m a regular!
